North Korea fears 2012 disaster film will thwart rise as superpower

"North Korea's government is scrambling to prevent pirated copies of the film 2012 from getting into the country because Pyongyang fears the disaster movie could jinx its lucky year, according to a report." Kim Jong-il had mentioned that the time of 2012 North Korea with open the
grand gates to becoming a rising superpower. As of April 15, 2012 this will mark the birth of Kim Il-sung, in which he is still know as "The Great Leader".
The leader of North Korea does not want his people to watch the movie 2012, because he does not want them to worry about the disaster in which might happen and he doesn't want them to get the impression that the world is going to end in the year they are due to rise in international stature which is in 2012. Japan’s Asahi newspaper reported that “numerous” North Koreans caught watching copies of the film smuggled over the border from China have been arrested. This film has been denied to all viewers in North Korea.
My outlook on this situation is that it might be a good idea to have young adults not be able to watch it because kids all over the world are worrying about the world ending in 2012 and this movie is not helping the cause of children's fears. Other wise i think that adults could watch it and when young children are old enough they could watch it, but for now i think its not suitable for their children.

Once again North Korea is preparing for a third infinitesimal test that may come in either May or June. South Korean had announced this on Tuesday in which an act that could further segregate Pyongyang and complicate already troubled nuclear diplomacy.
South Korean Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan dismissed the report by saying that Seoul had seen no confirmation.
Yu had said that "If North Korea was making such preparations, there would be related circumstances that can be detected ... there is no intelligence on such circumstances.

In February the preparation began and involve in a level of technical ability that is considerably upgraded from the first two tests that they have done. An international nuclear disarmament was boycotted by North Korea for over a year. “A third test would improve North Korea's ability to make nuclear weapons but also decrease its supply of fissile material, thought to be enough for six to eight nuclear bombs, experts say.”

"Madagascar Announces First Swine Flu Death." Web.

Madagascar has just reported the first case of the swine flu. The swine flu infected an eight year girl. This girl had just recently flew to the country the week before. This girl has traveled to many different countries the week before. "The A(H1N1) pandemic has so far killed 1 462 people of 177 457 registered infections across 170 countries, according to the latest figures from the World Health Organisation (WHO). - Sapa-AFP".

I found this sad but yet interesting. It's weird to know that this was actually Madagascar first case of the swine flu. This girl probably got it from all the other countries that she had traveled to. It's also sad because she is 8 years old. I don't know what i would do if i had the swine flu and if i were in a different country and wanted to have a good time.

Venezuela suspicious of Colombia's energy offer....

As of February 17, 2010 Colombia has offered to supply electricity for Venezuela. But, this seems suspicious to Venezuela. As of last Wednesday Venezuela's minister had mentioned that the nation would consider a serious proposal.

Energy minister Ali Rodriguez (as shown in top picture) said that Colombia’s unadventurous has not yet made a official present to vend electricity to Venezuela, and said he suspects Bogota could be seeking to humiliate President Hugo Chavez’s communist government.

Rodriguez has said that this, "It could be a political move, trying to put Venezuela on the defensive". But, now the minister of Colombia which is Hernan Martinez (as show in the bottom picture) said that Colombia is producing more electricity then their own consumers. "Chavez blames energy shortage on a drought and low water levels at Guri Dam". Guri Dam holds about 70 percent of Venezuela's electricity. Chavez has been accused of not investing enough in the production of electricity. Ali Rodriguez said that "Venezuela has not received "a concrete offer" from Colombia". He has mentioned that if Colombia were to make a better or serious offer he would consider it.
